We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys working in a hands-on, collaborative environment and is motivated by solving complex technical challenges.

What You’ll Do
  • Design mechanical products in line with specifications and NPD schedules
  • Ensure full compliance with Hazardous and Safe Area standards
  • Perform product testing, validation, and evaluation
  • Prepare detailed production, certification, and technical documentation
  • Support product certification and engage directly with notified bodies
  • Contribute to Pro Launch phase gates and deliverables
  • Provide technical support for product lifecycle, NPI, and ongoing improvements
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, product management, and sales
Qualifications
  • BEng / HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in laboratory-based design, build, and test activities
Skills
  • Good knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (Solid Works or Creo)
  • Experience using SAP (BOMs, documentation)
  • Understanding of hazardous area design and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and technical reporting ability
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
