Senior Transport Planner

Overview

Senior Transport Planner position with an award-winning consulting engineer. Based in Bristol within a growing multi-disciplinary office. Led by the Transport Planning line manager and supported by the Regional Director, you will assist in expanding the Bristol Transport Planning Team.

• Produce Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, and Travel Plans (experience required).
• Apply understanding of relevant local and national transport policy and guidance.
• Competent in junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10 and Lin Sig/Quick green, and other industry software including TRICS and TEMPro.
• Competent in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Map Info, Basemap TRACC.
• Proficient in preliminary highway design through AutoCAD and application of relevant design guidance.
• Maintain good organisation, communication, presentation skills, and a high standard of attention to detail.
• Experience liaising with clients and other key stakeholders; exposure to project management.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff in their training and development.
• Membership in a professional institution such as CIHT, IHE, or TPS (or pursuing chartership via TPP or CILT).
• Previous industry experience with an aspiration to start a new and exciting chapter in your career.
