Talent is recruiting for a Building Services Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join an ambitious and collaborative consultancy based in Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the full RIBA design process, developing innovative, low‑carbon engineering solutions while collaborating with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. You'll gain exposure to a varied project portfolio and receive ongoing support towards professional development and Chartership.

• Designing mechanical or electrical building services from concept through to construction
• Producing engineering calculations, load assessments and detailed designs using Revit, AutoCAD and industry‑standard software
• Preparing technical specifications, reports and project documentation
• Working closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients throughout project delivery
• Undertaking site visits, inspections and commissioning support
• Delivering sustainable, compliant and technically robust engineering solutions across a range of commercial projects

• 3+ years’ experience within an MEP consultancy or design & build environment
• Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline)
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and relevant design software such as IES VE, Hevacomp, Dialux, Amtech, SAP or iSBEM
• Good understanding of low‑carbon building design, renewable technologies and current Building Regulations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
• Working towards (or keen to achieve) professional membership and Chartership with CIBSE, IET or IMechE would be advantageous

• Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience
• Private Medical Insurance (Aviva)
