We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Arup's growing Rolling Stock capability. Having established a successful team of rolling stock consultants, we have developed a strong reputation for providing advisory, technical and specialist services to procuring authorities, operators, manufacturers and other key industry stakeholders.
At Arup, you'll join a community of talented professionals delivering value-led engineering consultancy and strategic services across the rail sector. With a diverse portfolio of projects and clients, this role offers the opportunity to work on some of the industry's most interesting rolling stock challenges while helping shape the future of sustainable rail transport.
The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a Rolling Stock Engineer looking to broaden their experience across consultancy, engineering and strategic advisory services. Reporting to the Senior Rolling Stock Designer, you will contribute to the development of Arup's rolling stock business while supporting the delivery of high-quality technical solutions for clients across the UK and international rail markets.
You will contribute to rolling stock strategies and business planning activities, help identify and secure new opportunities, support bids and proposals, and deliver technical analysis and engineering outputs. The role will involve transforming complex technical information into clear, client-focused recommendations, designs and reports, as well as supporting project delivery, client engagement and consultancy activities.
A key aspect of the role will be identifying areas of the rolling stock proposition that you can champion, helping to build Arup's capability and reputation both internally and externally. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth, technical development and industry leadership within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.
