JOB – CAD Technician

LOCATION – Nottingham

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – Competitive Salary

The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience using Revit MEP in a building services consultancy or contractor environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services systems
• Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD (Navisworks experience desirable)
• Good knowledge of BIM processes and coordination principles
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• Team-focused, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of BIM processes and ISO 19650 standards would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Navisworks, Dynamo, or other related tools would be advantageous

The CAD Technician role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical and electrical building services using AutoCAD and Revit
• Staying up-to-date with the latest AutoCAD and Revit software developments and applying company standards consistently across all work
• Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of Revit processes and best practices throughout the business
• Coordinating design work with other disciplines through regular collaboration and face-to-face meetings, ensuring accuracy and integration across all project elements
• Managing the flow of design information for assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate communication both internally and externally
• Delivering high-quality work within agreed deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and adherence to project requirements
• Supporting engineers in producing high-quality 3D models and coordinated drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team on projects from early design stages through to completion, helping to deliver accurate and efficient BIM outputs to support project delivery
