Immediate About the Role Following government approval ( Selective Licensing Scheme) , all private rented homes in Oxford have required a licence since September 2022. With nearly half (49.3%) of homes in the city privately rented, this is a vital initiative to ensure landlords meet required safety and management standards. We are now seeking a Selective Licensing Applications Officer to join our established and dynamic team responsible for delivering this important service to Oxford residents.
What You’ll Be Doing This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:
Processing licence applications using detailed procedures and specialist systems Handling a high volume of customer enquiries via phone and email Providing excellent customer service to landlords, tenants, and stakeholders Accurately managing and inputting data Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and adapting processes accordingly About You We’re looking for someone who is:
Enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Quick to learn and able to retain complex information Experienced in delivering excellent customer service A strong communicator, both written and verbal A team player who enjoys working collaboratively
