Base pay range

We’re working with a fast-growing renewable energy business at the forefront of the UK’s transition to sustainable power generation. The company finances, builds, and manages renewable energy assets across solar, storage, and onsite generation.

As the business continues to scale, they’re seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting and management accounting for a portfolio of SPV's. This role will be pivotal in delivering high-quality management information, ensuring accurate tax and compliance reporting, and supporting external audits and year-end processes.

This is a hands‑on and varied position suited to a technically strong accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts with full analysis and commentary across a portfolio of renewable energy entities
  • Present results, trends, and insights to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding of financial performance
  • Manage UK VAT and corporate tax compliance, liaising with external advisors as required
  • Support annual audits and year-end statutory reporting, ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met
  • Maintain strong financial controls and reconciliations, ensuring data integrity across all ledgers
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and control frameworks
  • Partner with internal teams on new asset integrations, financial forecasting, and system development
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in management accounting within infrastructure, energy, or asset-based businesses
  • Experience working with multiple SPV's
  • Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP, VAT, and tax compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency

    Confident communicator able to collaborate effectively with operational and senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting audits and managing multi-entity structures desirable
