Location: Rochester

Salary: 30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Contract: Full-time, 12-month maternity cover

Working pattern: Office based

Start date: ASAP

A well-established company based in Rochester is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a hands‑on role supporting management accounting, reconciliations and reporting across multiple business units.

• Preparation of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Daily bank reconciliations and VAT returns
• Monthly journals including salaries and payroll-related entries
• Internal recharges and intercompany reconciliations
• Revenue, KPI and profit and loss reporting
• Fleet-related accounting including fuel cards, tolls and insurance
• Weekly finance and payroll reporting
• Month-end close support and ad-hoc finance duties

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
