This is a standout business with a best-in-class finance function, offering exposure to high standards, strong governance and genuine development.
Operating within a dynamic, fast-growing industry, this role offers real variety — no two days are the same. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical financial reporting with commercial business partnering and influencing non-finance stakeholders.
This is an initial 9–12 month FTC, with a strong likelihood of extension or conversion to permanent.
The role sits at the intersection of Finance and the wider business, acting as a key bridge between reporting, insight and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day finance operations for a large operating business within a US-owned, multi-entity group with significant turnover.
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including detailed P&L analysis across multiple cost centres and revenue streams.
- Provide clear financial commentary and variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Partner closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to support performance, cost control and margin improvement.
- Own the budgeting and rolling forecasting process, incorporating operational drivers and business seasonality.
- Oversee balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and lease accounting.
- Manage cashflow forecasting, working capital and banking activities, ensuring alignment with group treasury requirements.
- Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, reporting standards and internal control frameworks.
- Act as a key liaison with the US-based group finance function, supporting monthly group reporting, consolidation and audit requirements.
- Support on statutory reporting, tax compliance and coordination with external auditors and advisors.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and controls to support scalability and efficiency.
- Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance and commercially focused culture.
- Support strategic initiatives including business expansion, investment appraisal and operational improvement projects.
Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
Experience working within fast paced business.
Great communication skills working across functions.
Able to work on both sides of Finance, understanding the need for reporting with commercial astuteness.
