Orka Financial is currently partnering with a successful, growing business in Reading that is looking to recruit a Finance Manager (EMEA) to join the team. The role reports into the International Controller. The Finance Manager will have responsibly for 2 reports and month end close, will oversee multiple core processes critical to the group including the accounting for fixed assets, accruals and expenses, cash, intercompany and preparation of the company’s annual financial statements.

• Responsible for timely and accurate period end financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Management of a team of 2 including planning, assigning, and directing work
• Responsible for month end close/VAT returns
• Support the Controller on ensuring full compliance with statutory reporting filings, audits, and any local tax filings and regulations
• Liaison with auditors
• Partnering with the operations finance team to ensure timing of accruals are accounted for accurately
• Assisting the Controller with the budget/forecast of OpEx & expenditures for the EMEA region
• Reviewing and analysing variances in actual amounts compared to budget/forecast
• Supporting the Controller to develop robust processes

• This role would suit a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong accounting experience. It may be someone looking to make a move from practice into industry.
