Overview

We are seeking an experienced Traceability Business Analyst to support control identification, review, and policy interpretation within the STDF IRR Programme Workstream. The successful candidate will work closely with Programme and Project Managers, compliance teams, and business stakeholders to review and document control processes and policy mappings for multiple regulatory submissions.

This role involves ensuring compliance with PRA standards, enhancing reporting templates, and managing traceability across STDF PRA returns. The scope includes reconciliation controls, adjustment controls, analytical reviews, senior management oversight, calculations, governance, and interpretation of regulatory rules.

You will have exposure to senior business managers and a wide range of stakeholders, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the IRR STDF Traceability team in aligning reporting traceability with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Manage traceability across core STDF PRA returns, focusing on Retail and Wholesale Credit Risk.
  • Prepare and maintain traceability artefacts to ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting outputs.
  • Develop and enhance controls to ensure report integrity and compliance throughout the reporting lifecycle.
  • Maintain well‑documented traceability records to support audits and respond to information requests promptly.
  • Determine control standards required for STDF regulatory reporting processes.
  • Work with report owners to improve controls and bring reporting templates to full compliance.
  • Document control processes in relevant systems of record (training provided).
  • Collaborate with other work streams and process owners to track compliance items through resolution.
  • Identify PRA rules applicable to STDF and other holdings templates.
  • Strong familiarity with Stress Testing regulatory reporting processes under the PRA STDF framework (PRA/BoE rules essential).
  • Practical experience in regulatory reporting, particularly within Stress Testing for PRA returns.
  • Proven ability to interpret reporting policy rules and ensure compliance.
  • Minimum 10‑12 years’ experience in controls‑focused business analysis and documentation roles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess reporting/data flows, identify gaps, and propose solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting and verifying controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to lead process discussions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Clear and concise documentation and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of controls and traceability tools.
  • Previous experience on finance‑related projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with demanding business stakeholders.
