Salary: £35,608 to £47,389 per annum, pro‑rate if applicable, depending on skills and experience.

- Provide day‑to‑day support to financial accountants and the Head of Corporate Finance, at an operational and project level.
- Support the completion of financial statements and other regulatory returns.
- Co‑ordinate the Office for Students (OfS) return and compile information requests.
- Draft and review regulatory returns for review by the Head of Finance.
- Contribute to process improvement and team development projects.
- Deliver monthly group‑level financial results and maintain accurate month‑end reconciliations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors during financial statement finalisation.
- Curious and enjoys improving processes.
- Strong eye for accuracy and able to balance month‑end reconciliations.
- Able to manage competing deadlines and prioritise critical processes.
- Demonstrated experience preparing management reports, financial plans, and budgets.
- Comfortable preparing external financial reports (e.g., audit submissions) and reconciling them back to source data.
- Either substantial relevant experience or a qualified accountant.
The Corporate Finance team within the larger Financial Control and Financial Management team manages month‑end and year‑end processes, financial reporting, audit and regulatory returns, cash and treasury management, and the university’s finance systems.
