A well-established and growing independent financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join its Nottingham-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a client-focused adviser who is passionate about delivering high-quality financial planning and building long-term relationships with clients. The successful candidate will work with both new and existing clients, providing holistic financial advice across investment, retirement, protection and wealth planning solutions.

• Provide tailored financial planning and investment advice to private clients.
• Conduct detailed fact-finds to understand clients’ goals, circumstances and risk profiles.
• Analyse financial information and develop suitable planning strategies.
• Recommend appropriate solutions across investments, pensions, protection and related financial planning areas.
• Prepare and present financial recommendations and suitability reports.
• Carry out regular client reviews and maintain ongoing relationships.
• Generate new business opportunities through referrals, networking and professional introducer relationships.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, legislation and market trends.
• Ensure all advice and client interactions meet FCA and Consumer Duty requirements.
• Contribute positively to team performance and support the wider business where required.

• Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent financial services qualification).
• Current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
• Good understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements.
• Experience providing regulated financial advice.
• Strong report-writing and client presentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Strong track record of business development and relationship management.
• Experience advising high-net-worth and affluent clients.
• Knowledge of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR).
• Previous experience within an independent financial planning environment.
