Alexander Daniels are partnering with a well-established, international manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Manager
. This organisation operates across multiple global markets and is recognised for delivering high-quality, innovative and sustainable products to a premium customer base.
With continued investment and growth in the UK, the business is now looking for a hands-on and proactive finance professional to play a key role in driving process improvement, strengthening financial controls, and leading and developing a small team.
The OpportunityReporting into a world class Finance Director, this is a hands-on and highly visible role within a business undergoing positive transformation. You will take ownership of core finance activities while helping modernise systems and processes, making a genuine impact on performance and efficiency.
Alongside managing day-to-day finance operations, you will support and develop a small team and collaborate closely with non-finance stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the month-end close process
, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Produce management accounts
, including insightful variance analysis and commentary - Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
, including automation - Drive the transition away from manual processes and enhance finance systems
- Supervise and develop a small finance team
- Partner with operational teams to support commercial decision-making
- Support ongoing system implementation and development projects
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role
- Background in manufacturing or a similar environment is essential
- Proactive and confident, with the ability to challenge and drive change
- Comfortable working in a changing and evolving environment
- Strong systems capability, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Ambitious, with a desire to make a meaningful impact and grow your career
- Salary circa £60,000 per year
