Michael Page are supporting a growing organisation in their search for an Assistant Accountant in Nottingham.

This is a permanent opportunity where the successful Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller in Nottingham.

Our client is a successful business in Nottingham and looking to add a permanent Assistant Accountant to their team.

This role would suit someone who studying towards their AAT level 4 and looking to continue their studies to CIMA / ACCA.

This is a office based role in Nottingham.

Description

Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends or discrepancies.
Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights.
Help maintain compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Contribute to process improvements within the finance team.
Support the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Experience in a similar position.

Experience with financial reporting and budgeting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
A good understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A relevant qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).Job Offer

Salary ranging from £30,000 to £33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
Permanent role in Nottingham.
