Purpose of the role:The role will be predominantly compliance, but you will have the ability to work on advisory projects and to move more into a mixed compliance/advisory role.
Duties will include:Manage a portfolio of clients, including interaction with clients and colleagues to ensure all deadlines (client & statutory) are met
Management of junior member of the team
Review of work undertaken by junior colleagues
Active role in personal development and mentoring of junior team members
Delivering all aspects of corporation tax compliance support to clients
Review of computations prepared by the Accounting & Business Services team
Responding to ad hoc queries from internal and external clients
Full portfolio management, to include billing, work in progress and management of your own workflow to meet deadlines
Completing technical research for discussion and presentation to colleagues and clients
Liaising with HMRC in relation to client liabilities and responding to HMRC enquiries
Providing support to Partners and Managers for client meetings
Working arrangements
The working week: with flexibility of hours to meet specific demands – we offer a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days homeworking
Skills/Qualifications:
Person specifications – Desirable experience and skills
Understanding of accounts
Strong IT skills and knowledge
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail
