Nottingham Salary: £70,000 – £80,000

Contract:

Permanent SF Partners are working with an established business in Nottingham to recruit an experienced Head of Finance to lead its finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to take ownership of the finance function, manage and develop a team of six, and play a key role in supporting the strategic direction and continued growth of the business.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial insight, providing meaningful financial information to support business decisions and drive performance.### Key responsibilities
* Lead, manage and develop a finance team of six.
* Take ownership of financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
* Act as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing commercial insight and financial challenge.
* Oversee cash flow management, working capital and financial controls.
* Lead the year-end audit and statutory reporting processes.
* Drive improvements across financial systems, processes and reporting.
* Support strategic planning, financial modelling and commercial decision-making.
* Ensure strong financial governance and compliance.
* The ideal candidate:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
* Proven experience operating at Head of Finance, Finance Director or equivalent senior leadership level.
* Strong people management experience.
* Excellent technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
* Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and audit processes.
* A proactive approach with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
