Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
For those who'd rather improve the report than spend their life producing it.
Let's be honest. Some finance roles involve churning out the same spreadsheet every month, changing a few numbers, and pretending it's a thrilling new challenge.
This isn't one of those roles.
I'm working with a business looking to hire a Finance Systems Analyst, and it's a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys getting under the bonnet of finance processes and making things work better.
You'll sit at the crossroads of FP&A, finance business partnering, Power BI development and finance systems administration, helping the business improve reporting, automate manual processes and strengthen forecasting capability.
So, if your idea of a good week includes:
- Building and enhancing Power BI dashboards
- Turning messy data into meaningful insights
- Improving budgeting and forecasting processes
- Getting involved in ERP and finance systems projects
- Automating repetitive tasks so nobody has to waste time doing them
...then we'll probably get on.
About YouYou'll likely be:
- ACCA or CIMA part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified
- Comfortable working with data and reporting tools
- Someone who enjoys solving problems rather than simply highlighting them
- Curious enough to ask "there must be a better way of doing this" and determined enough to actually find it
This role offers a genuine opportunity to influence how finance operates rather than simply reporting on what has already happened. You'll have visibility across the business, work closely with stakeholders, and play a key role in driving smarter decision-making through better systems, reporting and insight.
In short: less report production, more report evolution.
