Vacancy Description

We are looking for a practical, enthusiastic Seasonal Assistant Ranger to join the team at Frensham Common.

This is a customer-facing, outdoor role that plays an important part in helping to manage and protect the common, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors while supporting conservation and estate management activities.

Key Duties

Maintain a visible presence around the site during busy periods, including evenings and weekends.

Assist with site and estate management and routine maintenance tasks.

Support the enforcement of byelaws in a calm, professional manner.

Engage positively with members of the public and site users.

About You

You will ideally have:

Experience of countryside or estate management.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

A reasonable level of physical fitness for outdoor work.

A full, valid driving licence.

Knowledge of First Aid (or a willingness to undertake training).
