Area Manager​/Registered Building Inspector - Class 3H

Our client, a local authority in the planning and buildings sector, is currently seeking an Area Team Leader/Building Control Officer Class 3H RBI to join their team on a contract basis.

• Overseeing and managing building control operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Providing expert advice on town planning and building control matters
• Conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure building projects meet safety and regulatory standards
• Preparing and presenting reports on building control activities and findings
  
  Liaising with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
• Ensuring confidentiality and adherence to all relevant legal and contractual requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies
• Supporting team members and facilitating effective communication within the team

• Experience in town planning and building control
• Strong understanding of planning regulations and building standards
• Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and assessments
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure confidentiality
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to provide two years of references/work history
