Senior Planner​/Associate Planner​/Associate Director

Marrons’ Nottingham office is looking for Senior/Associate Planners to join their team. • Lead the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
• Manage planning applications, appeals and consultations in accordance with relevant policy, legislation and best practices.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and impact assessments to inform decision‑making processes.
• Engage with local communities, businesses and government agencies to foster positive relationships and address planning‑related issues.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Draft Planning Statements, Planning Appraisals and Statements of Case in support of planning applications and planning appeals.
• Monitor legislative changes, emerging trends and best practices in planning and urban planning to inform decision‑making and strategy development.

• Previous experience in a planning role (ideally from local government, consultancy or the development industry).
• A relevant planning qualification (or working towards one).
• Membership of RTPI or working towards membership.
• An understanding of the planning process and systems.
• Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.
• Drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team‑player approach.
