Are you an analytical, highly organised professional with exceptional research skills and the ability to turn complex information into actionable insight? We are seeking an Investigations Analyst (IPP Accredited) to join Operation Perth at Nottinghamshire Police.

What you'll do
  • Analyse complex information at strategic, tactical and operational levels to support a major maternity investigation.
  • Research, interpret and evaluate large volumes of medical records and other evidence to identify patterns, trends and key findings.
  • Produce high-quality analytical reports, profiles, briefings and presentations to support investigative decision-making.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations that inform priorities, risk assessments and resource allocation.
  • Support complex investigations from intelligence development through to court proceedings.
  • Liaise with investigators, senior officers and partner agencies to provide analytical insight and advice.
  • Attend court as a professional witness, presenting analytical findings and supporting judicial processes.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience researching and analysing large volumes of complex qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and key intelligence opportunities.
  • Experience producing professional reports and evidential products to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to explain complex findings clearly to a range of audiences, including within a court setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and specialist analytical software.
  • IPP Accreditation or willingness to work towards accreditation.
