This role will lead the provision of psychological interventions and provide input from a psychological perspective to individuals in prison with difficulties with substance misuse. The post holder will supervise and oversee the work of an Assistant Psychologists and work closely with the multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing staff, prison staff and other organisations focused on wellbeing. The post holder will develop trauma informed practice using up to date research and develop an evidence base.

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. Many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools.

We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
