Band 5 Rotational Occupational TherapistAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at our Bedford Hospital South Wing Site.
Our rotational Occupational Therapy posts are a great opportunity to experience the acute hospital setting. You will work with a diverse range of patients and multi-disciplinary team members; giving you an opportunity to practice and enhance your OT skills across multiple specialties.
At Bedford Hospital, we have well‑established supportive OT teams with Band 7 Team Leads, Band 6 senior OTs and experienced Therapy Assistants. The Band 5 rotations are in Neurology/Stroke, Frailty & Elderly medicine, Urgent medicine/Front door, Respiratory/Cardiology and Orthopaedics & Surgery.
You will be supported by our Practice Development OT as well as Team Managers. You will also have the opportunity to work with our exciting Prevention of Deconditioning Team.

Main duties of the jobBedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Both hospital sites offer key services such as Aé, Obstetrics‑led Maternity and Paediatrics. All new staff will be subject to a probationary period covering first 6 months in post. Travel between hospital sites may be required. Please review all documents attached to ensure you familiarise yourself with all requirements of the job.
To undertake assessment of patients with a diverse range of conditions dependant on rotation speciality.
To develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme and contribute to a timely discharge.
To manage own caseload with support from senior OT staff.

Qualifications/Training- Dip COT or BSc (Hons) in OT
