Main duties

As a Bank Night Care Assistant, you will support and care for residents during the overnight hours. Your duties include providing personal care (assisting with bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene), administering medications and monitoring residents’ overall wellbeing. You will also engage residents in social activities and companionship. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months of care experience and the flexibility to work night shifts.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care - Supporting with washing, bathing or showering and assisting with dressing and oral care
  • Medication - Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams
  • Meals - Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages
  • Domestic tasks - Light cleaning tasks
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility
  • Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home

Person Specification Qualifications
  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of 12 months' experience in the care industry and be flexible enough to work night shifts. They must also have the right to work in the UK for at least 12 months and be able to drive or live close to the care home.
