An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and dynamic nurse to join our vascular team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Lead Vascular Clinical Nurse Specialist. The post holder will lead an established team of experienced vascular nurses. MainDuties of the Job
The Countess of Chester Hospital operates and manages Vascular services across Wirral, West Cheshire and Warrington. This model unifies the approach to vascular services across South Mersey, ensuring high quality and consistent care across the region.
The role of Lead Vascular Clinical Nurse Specialist is high profile, dynamic, proactive and pioneering. The lead nurse for vascular services will be able to make informed decisions and have managerial responsibility for nursing service delivery across vascular specialist nursing areas. The focus of the role will be to improve overall patient experience and outcomes, for all patients with vascular conditions using service improvement and quality methodology, and will be responsive to challenging healthcare needs and advances in practice.

- Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds
- Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility
- Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.

Person Specification Qualifications- RN/RSCN Diploma or Degree
- MSc in Health, Quality or leadership related or working towards within 2 academic years of appointment or equivalent
- A recognised qualification in vascular nursing
- Knowledge of advanced clinical, psychological, and social needs of patients accessing our vascular services
- Evidence of prior senior clinical decision making
- Experience of leading patient involvement/patient feedback
