Job Overview

Job Title: Therapeutic Radiographer – Band 5 – Fixed Term 12 months.

Location: City Campus, Nottingham, NG5 1PB
, United Kingdom.

Accredited HCPC registration required, or final-year student eligible to register by 2026. Flexible shifts between 07:30 and 20:00.

• Provide safe and accurate radiotherapy planning and treatment, rotating through pre‑treatment, brachytherapy and other clinical areas under direction of Team Leaders.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity and deliver patient‑centred care.
• Comply with ISO 9001:2015 quality system for the department.
• Participate in audit, clinical research and development of techniques and equipment.
• Support the training and clinical education programme of student radiographers.

• Essential training & qualifications: Radiotherapy degree with HCPC registration (or eligibility to apply on completion 2026) and recent use of modern pre‑treatment and treatment machines.
• Desirable experience: Experience with Elekta Linacs and Mosaiq; recent clinical NHS service.
• In‑depth NHS radiotherapy knowledge.
• Good verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload, prioritise and organise tasks effectively.

• Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 per annum.
• Contract: Fixed term 12 months.
• Working pattern: Full‑time and part‑time options.

• Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
• UK professional registration mandatory.
• Skill worker sponsorship subject to UK Visas and Immigration requirements.
