Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic clinical pharmacists to join our large and friendly team delivering diverse pharmacy services within one of the country’s largest teaching trusts. The role is part of a 12‑month senior rotational programme, providing complex pharmaceutical care, optimising medicines, and ensuring safe & effective transfer of care.
Responsibilities- Participate in core clinical pharmacy activities across a range of specialties, including prescribing when qualified.
- Support line management of junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and mentor MPharm students.
- Engage in a 7‑day rota, including bank holidays and senior on‑call duties.
- Contribute to the rollout of ePMA and provide pharmacist‑free, technician‑led dispensing support.
- Prepare, audit, and present audit or research projects at the Trust level.
- Broad post‑registration experience in hospital pharmacy.
- Experience supervising and training pre‑registration pharmacists and technicians.
- Experience delivering clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
- Experience in training and education of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Experience developing and implementing medicines‑related policies for a specialty.
- Experience undertaking reporting, presenting, and audit/research work at the local (Trust) level.
- Planning and organisational skills.
The post is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) but will consider reduced‑hour arrangements. It requires a 7‑day working model and on‑call support. If you prefer a part‑time arrangement, please indicate this in your application or contact us for discussion.
