We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology to join our client’s team in Nottinghamshire. This is a full‑time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well‑established laboratory service.

You will perform culture, identification, and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens. You will detect bacterial infections using manual and automated techniques.

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience in Microbiology within a clinical laboratory
• Experience with culture and sensitivity testing
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• NHS experience (preferred)
