We are currently looking for caring, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team.

Available Role

Location: NG16

Client: You will be supporting a 22-year-old male living with a brain injury, learning difficulties, and epilepsy, which is managed using a Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) device
. The role involves providing person-centred support to help him remain safe, engaged, and as independent as possible both at home and in the community.

Hours:
Monday
- Friday 7am till 7pm
- Pay £13.28

Saturday & Sunday - Pay £13.94

Your Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Support with personal care and daily living activities where required.
  • Monitor and support the client's epilepsy, following their individual care plan and responding appropriately to seizures.
  • Assist with community access, appointments, and meaningful activities.
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the wider team.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 6 months' experience in a care or support role (essential).
  • Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, brain injuries, or learning disabilities is desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and dependable approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic IT skills for completing electronic care records.
  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.

About the role Role-Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Assist with daily living tasks (meal prep, shopping, light housekeeping)
  • Support medication administration and seizure management
  • Encourage independence and offer emotional support & companionship
  • Help with community outings and activities
  • Monitor and report changes in health

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ months care experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)
  • A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Basic IT skills for completing documentation
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
