Applications are invited for the post of Intestinal failure/clinical nutrition Fellow at Nottingham University Hospitals' NHS Trust. This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a cohesive and progressive gastroenterology and hepatology department with a strong clinical and academic national profile. We are looking for a dynamic individual with an interest in clinical nutrition. The post would be ideal for a candidate who has completed their basic Gastroenterology training and is looking for additional training in this challenging and exciting area of GI practice, but can be adapted to more junior trainees wishing to pursue a career in this field.
The role holder will contribute to both in and outpatient care of patients with problems related to intestinal failure. This will include IF ward rounds and clinics, outpatient clinics, MDT work and endoscopy sessions. These sessions will be under the supervision of members of our team of subspecialist IF physicians.
In addition there will be opportunities to learn more advanced endoscopic techniques related to intestinal failure and clinical nutrition, to carry out research and to help in the development of our growing IF service.
Clinical/Academic independence will be promoted and the fellow will be supported in any research initiatives they might have and will be encouraged to present these at national and international conferences and publish them in peer reviewed journals.
