We’re looking for a skilled Band 7 Echocardiographer to join our growing Cardiac Physiology team in Nottingham.

You’ll deliver high‑quality echo services, support advanced imaging, and help develop junior staff. As a highly specialised physiologist your main duties will be the provision of high quality echo studies ranging from standard TTE to advanced techniques such as stress echo and congenital echo.

You will also play an active role in the training program at NUH, providing quality practical and theoretical teaching to junior team members and clinical colleagues.

As a band 7 physiologist you will assist the echo leads and head of service in daily management of the team and act as a role model for colleagues.

This is a Trust wide post and the successful candidate will be expected to work at both our hospitals and the Nottingham CDC. You will also be required to participate in the provision of the out of hours emergency echo service across both sites.

The echo team at NUH are a friendly, experienced and highly skilled group of physiologists with a wide range of experience in different echo specialities. We are supported by our team of adult imaging and paediatric consultants and work closely with them to provide and develop a high quality service.

The department holds twice weekly consultant led review meetings, bi monthly time out sessions for CPD and a yearly BSE accredited echo training day. You will also be supported to attend national courses and conferences.

Providing basic and advanced transthoracic echo reports to a high standard.

Training of junior team members and clinicians.

Experience in a range of diagnostics is desirable in order for you to support and advise colleagues when required.

• Achieved Qualifications/years experience
• MSc/MSCT

• BSE or equivalent
• Evidence/demonstrated first line management experience.
