ICELS Occupational Therapist

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping children? Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a temporary part-time Occupational Therapist to join our ICELS team. This role offers up to 30 hours a week, with flexible working days to be agreed upon. You will play a vital role in our clinical team while our current postholder is on a career break until September 2027.

As an Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing requests for specialist equipment and minor adaptations.
• Providing expert advice to prescribers and service providers.
• Researching products and checking inventory in our warehouses.
• Answering queries and delivering training to enhance service delivery.
• Collaborating with team members to catalogue items effectively.
• Embracing a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to improve equipment outcomes for our clients.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
• A solid understanding of community care services and relevant legislation.
• Experience in equipment provision for children is highly desirable.

• High levels of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care.
• The ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Proficiency in IT and digital tools for assessment and reporting.
