We are expanding our team and looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse with a particular interest in Chronic Disease Management to join our friendly and supportive team.
Located in a beautiful semi-rural setting between Stirling and Perth, we serve the population of Dollar and the surrounding area (5500 patients). We have a strong patient-focus and pride ourselves in providing an excellent person-centred service for our population, with an emphasis on continuity of care. The local community is supportive of the practice, and we have correspondingly excellent patient experience results.
Everyone in our team has an important contribution to make and is valued. Our team comprises 4 GPs, 3 ANPs, 2 GP Registrars, a practice nurse, health care assistant, CTAC staff, mental health nurse, advanced physiotherapy practitioner, a practice-based pharmacist, a pharmacy technician, and community nurses. All are supported by an experienced admin team, deputy practice manager and practice manager.
We are a training practice, and all clinical staff have protected time to attend a daily 20-minute huddle where anyone can ask for advice, share learning, and provide support over a coffee.
Health board owned premises. EMIS system (moving to VISION in May 2027).
The successful applicant will be an RGN qualified nurse, registered with the NMC. Previous experience in practice nursing in desirable, priority will be given to candidates with the following experience/attributes
- Chronic disease management
- Cervical Screening
- Minor illness management
- Health promotion and prevention
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise with patients
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- Able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
