People Services Advisor

Are you a proactive, people‑focused HR professional with a passion for delivering high‑quality support across the employee lifecycle? We're looking for a People Services Advisor to join our People Services Department at Nottinghamshire Police
.

• Provide clear, practical HR advice across the whole employee lifecycle
• Support and coach managers on complex sensitive people issues
• Handle a range of HR matters such as grievances, attendance, performance, recruitment and change programmes
• Make sure policies and employment law are followed correctly
• Produce accurate HR data and reports while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Support HR projects and improvements to how we work
• Promote good practice, fairness and our organisational values
• Build strong working relationships across People Services and the wider organisation

• Experience delivering HR advice and managing a variety of people issues
• Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
• Strong communication skills - able to explain things clearly and confidently
• Ability to influence and build trust with managers and colleagues
• Comfortable analysing information and making sound decisions
• Able to prioritise, stay calm under pressure and work independently
