The Role

As an Employment Advisor, you will work directly with jobseekers, helping them progress into sustainable employment opportunities.

You will manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored one-to-one employment support, coaching, and careers guidance to help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals.

Key responsibilities include:

* Delivering personalised employment support, employability coaching, and careers guidance

* Creating and reviewing individual action plans to support progression into work

* Supporting participants with CV development, job search activity, job applications, and interview preparation

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers and recruitment partners

* Supporting individuals to develop confidence, workplace skills, and job readiness

* Tracking participant progress and maintaining accurate records using case management systems

* Working towards employment outcomes and contractual targets

* Promoting opportunities in the local labour market and connecting participants with employers

This is a fast-paced, people-focused role combining employability support, job coaching, employer engagement, and career development.

Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will bring a passion for helping people achieve sustainable employment and career progression.

Essential

* Experience working within Employability, Welfare to Work, Careers Advice, Recruitment, or Employment Support

* Understanding of common barriers to employment and strategies to support individuals back into work

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* Ability to manage a caseload and work towards performance outcomes

* A supportive, empathetic, and motivational approach

* Strong organisational and IT skills, including case management systems

Desirable (but not essential)

* Experience working on funded employability programmes such as Restart Scheme, Work and Health Programme, or similar welfare-to-work contracts

* Experience in careers advice, recruitment, training, or vocational support

Transferable experience from related sectors will also be considered.
