About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded and forward-thinking HR Business Partner to support our Central Functions at The Compleat Food Group.

Partnering with senior leaders across areas such as Commercial, Finance, IT, Procurement and Supply Chain, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering people strategies that drive business performance, build capability and enhance employee engagement.

This is a high-impact, visible role where you’ll influence at senior level, lead on organisational design and talent strategy, and help embed a modern, data‑led HR approach across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing Strategic HR Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, aligning people strategy with business priorities
  • Develop and deliver functional people plans that support growth, performance and transformation
  • Provide insight‑led recommendations to improve organisational effectiveness
Organisational Design & Workforce Planning
  • Lead organisational design activity including restructures, role design and capability planning
  • Support workforce planning to ensure the right structure, skills and resource levels for the future
  • Play a key role in transformation programmes, ensuring people impacts are effectively managed
Talent, Performance & Succession
  • Drive the talent agenda across central functions, including succession planning and leadership development
  • Lead talent reviews and translate outcomes into actionable development plans
  • Embed high‑quality performance management practices with clear objectives and robust calibration
  • Partner with hiring managers on key and niche roles, ensuring quality, consistency and diversity of hire
Employee Insight & Engagement
  • Use data (engagement, attrition, absence, ER trends) to generate meaningful insights
  • Lead engagement initiatives to enhance employee experience and retention
  • Embed effective employee voice mechanisms across central teams
Employee Relations & Risk
  • Provide expert guidance on complex ER matters, ensuring consistency and risk mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
Reward & Retention
  • Partner with Reward on pay and benefits strategy, providing insight and challenge where needed
  • Support initiatives that enhance attraction, engagement and retention
Leadership & Culture
  • Coach and develop senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability
  • Embed the Compleat behavioural framework and values across central functions
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, driving consistency and alignment
  • Work closely with Centres of Expertise (Reward, ER, Talent, HRSS) to deliver seamless HR support
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and service delivery
  • Use data and dashboards to inform decision‑making and highlight risks and opportunities
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex or multi‑functional environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into actionable people plans
  • Experience of organisational design, workforce planning and transformation
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to generate insight from data
  • Ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and employment legislation
  • Experience of talent management, succession planning and performance frameworks
  • Experience working within a central or CoE‑led HR operating model
