Education (Multi Academy Trust) An immediate start opportunity for an experienced Interim Senior HR Advisor to join a well established multi academy trust based in Tamworth that is currently managing a significant schools transfer programme. As schools transfer to new trusts, the HR team needs a confident senior advisor who has managed TUPE transfers and employee relations casework in an education setting and can step in and add value from day one.
About the role You will lead on the more complex HR casework across the trust's schools, supporting head teachers and senior leaders through a period of change. With a number of schools preparing to transfer, TUPE and employee relations will be central to the role, alongside the due diligence work that receiving trusts require ahead of each transfer. This is a hands on advisory role where you will be trusted to manage cases independently and guide less experienced colleagues.
Key responsibilities Lead on TUPE transfers for schools moving to new trusts, including consultation, measures letters and employee liability information (ELI) Manage a caseload of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence and restructures Act as a trusted adviser to head teachers, school leaders and governors, building credibility quickly Support due diligence for transferring schools, including single central record accuracy and data readiness Attend and support meetings with incoming trusts, representing HR with confidence Provide guidance and escalation support to HR advisors and administrators across the team Identify issues early and manage risk proactively through the transfer programme What we are looking for Proven TUPE experience, ideally including school or academy transfers (essential) Education sector HR experience within schools, academies or multi academy trusts (essential) Strong employee relations casework experience at senior advisor level Sound knowledge of teaching and support staff terms and conditions Resilient, flexible and comfortable in a fast moving environment CIPD qualified or equivalent experience Enhanced DBS, ideally on the update service (we can support with this if needed) Why apply Immediate start with a competitive, negotiable day rate Hybrid working with flexible hours Join a supportive central team at an important time for the trust Broad experience across a large, multi school organisation Option to be paid on a day rate or a fixed term contract Interested?
