Role Summary

Lead Dev Ops Engineer – Cloud Platform & Site Reliability

Location:

Nottingham or London, UK

Team: LSEG Risk Intelligence Engineering

As a Lead Dev Ops Engineer, you’ll be a hands‑on technical leader, guiding the design and implementation of modern Dev Ops and platform engineering practices:

• Automate full‑stack infrastructure using Terraform and Git Lab
• Lead the design of CI/CD pipelines with Git Lab CI to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, traffic management, and observability
• Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with development and business goals
• Mentor and guide Dev Ops engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, automation, security and operational excellence
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance platform capabilities and developer experience

• Demonstrable AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) expertise
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Git Lab CI and Bash/Python
• Orchestration and monitoring tools – Istio, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK
• 6+ years in Dev Ops or Platform Engineering roles in a lead role
• Proven experience building and operating cloud‑native platforms
• Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills

• Development experience in a major language (Java, C++, C# etc.)
• AWS certifications and financial services background
