We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Manager with a strong background in network technologies and a proven track record of leadership across diverse business environments. This role will lead the transformation of our network function into a high-performing shared service, supporting operations across the UK and EU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and evolve the network team into a shared service model, delivering consistent, scalable, and secure network services across multiple regions.
• Execute the network strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
• Oversee the implementation, and support of LAN/WAN, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and data centre network security solutions.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Info Sec, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence within the network team.
• Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.
• Develop and manage the network budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and value for money.
• Effectively communicate network strategy, performance, and project status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and ensure network services are aligned with their requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for a geographically distributed team.

Key Skills:

• Considerable experience in enterprise network management, ideally across multiple industries or business units.
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Azure/AWS networking, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, DNS/DHCP).
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
• A solid grasp of general IT infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams through transformation and change.
• Experience operating in a shared services or matrixed environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service delivery.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Experience with network observability and automation tools.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the UK and EU.
