Senior Functional Consultant - Dynamics 365 Sales & Business Central (Contract)

Hybrid - Nottingham Contract Duration: 6 months initially IR35 Status:
Outside IR35 Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Consultant to support a high-profile transformation programme, migrating from a legacy ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, alongside implementing and optimising Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM). This is a key role responsible for shaping the end-to-end quote-to-cash lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration between CRM and ERP, and driving alignment to Dynamics best practice.

Key Responsibilities Solution & Process Design Lead end-to-end process discovery across the commercial lifecycle:
Opportunity ? Quote ? Order ? Fulfilment ? Billing ? Service Design and optimise the product catalogue, pricing models, and quoting processes within Dynamics 365 Sales Ensure alignment and integration between Dynamics 365 Sales and Business Central Translate business requirements into functional designs aligned to platform capabilities Challenge legacy processes and promote standardised, scalable solutions Functional Delivery Define and document:
Current and future-state process maps Functional requirements and user stories Cross-system data models (products, pricing, customers, contracts) End-to-end operating model across quote-to-cash Support solution design decisions in collaboration with technical and delivery teams Drive process optimisation and automation using Dynamics capabilities Data & Integration Support data migration activities, including:
Product catalogue and pricing structures Customer and contract data Data validation, transformation, and reconciliation Ensure clean and scalable data models across CRM and ERP Testing & Deployment Lead and support UAT, including:
Cross-system scenario definition (CRM ? Business Central) Test coordination and execution Issue triage and resolution Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities Ensure business readiness and successful adoption of new processes Key Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, with strong expertise in Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM), including:
Product catalogue design Pricing and discounting models Quoting and proposal processes Deep understanding of quote-to-cash (Q2C) processes across CRM and ERP Strong knowledge of Business Central modules, including:
Finance Sales & Purchasing Inventory & Warehousing Projects / Jobs / Resource billing Service Management Experience designing and supporting CRM-ERP integrations (D365 Sales & BC) Strong capability in:
