Engineer Apprentice

Are you a tech‑enthusiastic, motivated learner with a passion for IT and problem solving? We are seeking an IS Engineer Apprentice to join our Information Services team at Nottinghamshire Police.

• Complete a structured apprenticeship programme combining on‑the‑job learning and academic study
• Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT hardware and devices
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving service requests alongside experienced engineers
• Support system upgrades, device rollouts and technology projects
• Help maintain accurate IT asset records and documentation
• Produce knowledge articles and support materials for users and colleagues
• Deliver excellent customer service when supporting staff and departments
• A strong interest in IT, technology and digital systems
• Basic knowledge of IT systems such as Windows and Microsoft 365
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative and complete tasks independently
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage study alongside workload commitments
• GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths, English and ideally IT
• A positive attitude and commitment to personal development
