This summer internship offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in modern data engineering within large‑scale retail and healthcare environments. You will work with cloud‑based data platforms and tools such as Azure Databricks, contributing to real‑world data solutions that enable analytics and business insights. The role provides exposure to industry‑standard practices in building data pipelines, Lakehouse architectures, and working alongside experienced engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.

• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, or data processing concepts
• Understanding of data engineering fundamentals (data pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or willingness to learn Azure data services
• Interest in working with large‑scale datasets and analytics solutions
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication and willingness to collaborate in team environments
• Academic background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related field
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies such as Databricks and Py Spark
• Exposure to PySpark or big data processing frameworks
• Basic understanding of Azure Data Platform (Databricks, ADLS, ADF, Synapse)
• Knowledge of retail, healthcare, or similar data‑driven industries
• Awareness of data streaming or real‑time processing concepts
• Interest in earning relevant certifications (Azure / Databricks)
