Senior Associate - Financial and Professional Risk - Nottingham

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Financial & Professional Risks (“FPR”) team based in Nottingham. The team acts for insurers, brokers and other insurance sector clients across professional indemnity, D&O, FI, and coverage matters in both traditional and emerging sectors.

As a Senior Associate, you will plan, manage and resource matters effectively, supervise tasks to ensure delivery, and have regular, direct client contact. You’ll play a formal role in developing client relationships, supporting the Client Partner in CRM activities, including client feedback and events.

The role involves advising and representing policyholders in contentious matters before courts and ombudsman schemes, tackling complex professional liability and insurance law issues, and reporting to insurer clients with high service standards.

You’ll apply your knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, stay ahead of legal reforms, deliver commercial claims solutions, and build strong relationships within the insurance sector. You will also contribute to marketing and business development, lead bids and tenders, and actively identify opportunities to expand or win new client relationships. Supporting profitable delivery of work, you’ll role model strong financial management, delegate and supervise junior fee earners, and manage your own priorities and time.

We’re looking for someone with upwards of 4 years’ experience in insurance and coverage matters, and a proven track record in professional indemnity and insurance litigation.
