Founded 25 years ago it offers a friendly and supportive working environment and prides itself on delivering top quality translation services to a wide range of clients operating in numerous sectors in both the UK and Europe.
We are seeking a part-time German-speaking translations Project Manager with fluent English language skills to work 2 days per week for our busy translation company in Nottingham, UK.
Responsibilities- Co-ordinating and delivering translation projects
- Handling project progress, costs and profit margins
- Processing of multilingual files, often in multiple file formats
- Using a variety of CAT programmes and other translation tools, with full training provided
- Booking in-house and freelance translators
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to resolve project-related queries
- Following standard practice to ensure excellent service and customer satisfaction
- Liaising with Sales and Accounts teams on new quotations and invoicing
As you gain more experience, you will also have the opportunity to:
- Prepare new quotations and liaise with clients in support of the Sales team
- Handle feedback and occasional complaints from clients in both English and German
- Optimise internal processes to meet the demands of client projects
- Gain formal certification in recognition of your CAT tool skills
- Excellent English and German language skills
- Sound IT skills, particularly MS Office
- Attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving
- An ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Very good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
- Work well as part of a team on larger projects as well as independently
- High levels of numeracy and commercial awareness
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills
- Language qualifications to degree level
- Experience in a translations environment
