A well-established and growing law firm in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Residential & Commercial Property Paralegal to join its busy property department. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth within the team and offers the chance to join a friendly, supportive, and professional working environment.
This is a full-time, office-based role suited to an experienced fee earner who is confident managing a varied caseload across both residential and commercial property matters.
The RoleThe successful candidate will manage their own caseload (with appropriate supervision where required), handling a mix of residential conveyancing and commercial landlord & tenant matters. This is a fee-earning, time-recording position, requiring strong organisational skills and commercial awareness.
Residential Property matters will include:- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Transfers of equity
- Re‑mortgages
- New build transactions
- Shared ownership matters
- Drafting and negotiating leases
- Lease renewals and assignments
- Licences to assign and sublet
- Deeds of variation
- Agreements for lease
- General landlord & tenant advisory work
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of 4-5 years' experience handling both residential and commercial property matters
- Proven experience in commercial landlord and tenant work
- Experience managing a busy caseload independently
- Strong time recording and billing experience
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
The ideal candidate will be proactive, well‑organised, and confident liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other third parties.
