A well-established and growing law firm in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Residential & Commercial Property Paralegal to join its busy property department. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth within the team and offers the chance to join a friendly, supportive, and professional working environment.

This is a full-time, office-based role suited to an experienced fee earner who is confident managing a varied caseload across both residential and commercial property matters.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload (with appropriate supervision where required), handling a mix of residential conveyancing and commercial landlord & tenant matters. This is a fee-earning, time-recording position, requiring strong organisational skills and commercial awareness.

Residential Property matters will include:
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Transfers of equity
  • Re‑mortgages
  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership matters
Commercial Property (Landlord & Tenant) matters will include:
  • Drafting and negotiating leases
  • Lease renewals and assignments
  • Licences to assign and sublet
  • Deeds of variation
  • Agreements for lease
  • General landlord & tenant advisory work
Candidate Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years' experience handling both residential and commercial property matters
  • Proven experience in commercial landlord and tenant work
  • Experience managing a busy caseload independently
  • Strong time recording and billing experience
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment

The ideal candidate will be proactive, well‑organised, and confident liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other third parties.
