This is an opportunity to join a well-established, close-knit high-street firm in Staffordshire that is looking to grow significantly over the coming years.
You’ll step into a busy Wills & Probate / Private Client role, handling your own caseload with support from two other solicitors in the team. The work is varied and client-focused, ranging from straightforward wills through to more complex estate administration, trusts and inheritance tax planning.
The firm has a strong local presence and values long-term client relationships, offering a supportive environment where quality of work and client care come first.
Who we’re looking for- Experienced Wills & Probate Paralegal
- Experience managing a private client caseload independently
- Experience with estate administration, including taxable estates and IHT reporting
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Comfortable meeting billing targets and managing time recording
- Confident, empathetic and client-focused approach
- Managing a varied Private Client caseload including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, LPAs and IHT planning
- Advising clients on estate planning, succession planning and asset protection
- Drafting wills, trust documentation and deeds of variation
- Administering estates from initial instruction through to final distribution
- Identifying legal, tax and practical risks within estates and advising accordingly
- Delivering clear, sensitive advice to clients, often in emotional circumstances
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and repeat work
- Using case management systems and ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Competitive salary depending on experience
- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
- Full-time preferred, but 4 days per week considered
- Flexible working hours around a 9am–5pm structure
- 21 days holiday, increasing with length of service
- Bank holidays + Christmas closure
