Overview

Civil Litigation Lawyer – Local Authority – Immediate start. A Local Authority based in the Greater Manchester / North West region is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Locum to join its well-established legal team for a 6–12 month assignment. You’ll be part of a supportive group of solicitors and legal officers handling a diverse and high-quality caseload across core areas of public-sector litigation.

Key Areas of Work

• Judicial Review – including SEND-related challenges and adult social care charging
• Property Litigation – dilapidations, injunctions, forfeiture, nuisance
• Housing & Property Tribunal Work – First-tier and Upper Tribunal matters, improvement notice disputes, civil penalties

About You

• 5+ years’ PQE across relevant litigation areas
• Qualified Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer or Barrister with litigation rights
• Confident managing a mixed and complex caseload independently
• Prior local authority litigation experience is essential

Working Arrangement

Hybrid preferred
, but fully remote will be considered for strong candidates.
