Dispute Resolution Lawyer – Property Focus

Location: Dorset

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

An established and well-regarded law firm is seeking a skilled Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join its busy and respected litigation team. The firm is recognised for providing clear, practical advice to both individuals and businesses and this role offers the opportunity to handle a wide range of complex and interesting matters with a particular emphasis on property-related disputes.

The Role

You will act for a broad client base on a variety of civil and commercial disputes, with a focus on landlord and tenant matters and property litigation. The caseload will also include professional negligence, commercial disagreements, boundary issues, intellectual property and contested wills.

  • Managing your own caseload of contentious matters with minimal supervision
  • Advising clients on all stages of the dispute resolution process, from initial assessment through to resolution
  • Taking swift action in urgent matters, including injunctions where required
  • Delivering high standards of client service and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team as appropriate
  • Actively contributing to the firm’s business development and networking initiatives
The Candidate

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with around 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in dispute resolution or civil litigation. You should have strong technical knowledge and the confidence to manage complex cases independently.

  • Proven experience in handling property and landlord and tenant disputes
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to think commercially
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational ability and the capacity to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for client service and business development

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced litigator to join a reputable firm with a strong regional presence and a supportive working environment.
