The RoleThis is a varied and hands-on position where you will support solicitors and assist in the efficient management of private client matters, ensuring an exceptional standard of service is delivered at all times. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trust documents, and estate administration paperwork
- Assisting with probate and estate administration matters
- Managing case files from instruction through to completion, ensuring deadlines are met
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other third parties in a professional and compassionate manner
- Supporting solicitors with legal research and case preparation
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures
- Providing administrative and secretarial support, including diary management and document management
- Supporting clients through sensitive and often complex personal matters
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of team processes and workflows
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in Private Client work as a paralegal or legal secretary (essential)
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to manage a busy workload
- Is professional, approachable, and committed to delivering exceptional client care
- Understands the sensitive nature of Private Client work and handles matters with empathy and discretion
- Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
- Previous experience in Private Client law is highly advantageous
